However, time with Tarot can help to bring some peace (hopefully) into your upcoming new year of life. After all, like a fine wine (not that $8 stuff at the grocery store…) we get better with age.
This original 9-card Tarot spread includes positions for the past year, lessons learned, upcoming year’s theme, challenges, goals, new opportunities, relationships, health, and advice for the future. This spread provides insight into the past, present, and future, helping you to reflect on the past year and prepare for the future.
The Spread Positions
- The Past Year: This card will represent the overall energy and events of the past year.
- Lessons Learned: This card will represent the lessons that were learned over the past year and how they can be applied moving forward.
- Key Theme for the Upcoming Year: This card will represent the key theme or energy that will be present in the upcoming year. This can provide insight into what to expect in the year ahead and how you can work with the energy to achieve your goals.
- Challenges: This card will represent the challenges you may face in the upcoming year.
- Goals and Desires: This card will represent your goals and desires for the upcoming year.
- New Opportunities: This card will represent new opportunities that may arise in the upcoming year.
- Relationships: This card will represent your relationships and what they can expect in terms of love and connections in the upcoming year.
- Health and Well-being: This card will represent your overall health and well-being in the upcoming year.
- Advice for the Upcoming Year: This card will offer advice or guidance as you move into the next year of your life.
Spread Enhancers
As with any Tarot spread, you can still draw a clarifying card (the next top card in the deck) for each position if you need further insight or clarification. A shadow card is not needed for this spread as the key theme is already represented in the third position.
This spread can be further enhanced by adding one or two additional cards branching off each of the different positions. For example, you could add additional cards for people with whom you have a relationship. This is YOUR birthday reading, customize it to your needs.
